The UCP WORK, Inc. Coin Canister Program, in the Santa Barbara area, is a longstanding tradition in Southern California. Since the program's inception in 1986 generous donors have helped us raise nearly $3.5 million with $170,000 in the last year alone!
We are lucky to have mutually beneficial partnerships with several companies including Carrows Restaurants (since 1986), Coco's Restaurants (since 1992) and Albertsons grocery stores in Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Diego and parts of Los Angeles County (since 1987). More companies and locations are being added all the time!
This Program provides customers an opportunity to give at a comfortable level without any pressure whatsoever. In addition to reinforcing current loyalty, it makes the customer feel good to give and in turn they associate those feelings with the companies that have made a commitment to a nationally recognized charity; one that continues as a leader in services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
Our Coin Canister Program is a highly efficient collection system and UCPLA's programs and services benefit greatly from customers generosity. We are responsible for all facets of this program including canister placement, maintenance, security, collections and coin processing. Our canisters require a small 4"x5" spot placed near a register where they would not interfere with the customer and cashier interface. Sponsorship of this program does not require any financial or time commitment from you!
