UCPLA Residential Services

UCPLA is one of the largest developers of affordable housing for the developmentally disabled community in the United States. Our 25 community based homes help address the critical shortage of affordable, accessible housing in Los Angeles, Orange and Santa Barbara Counties.

 

Residents of our group homes experience a loving, caring environment for adults with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities to live full and dignified lives.  It is the mission of UCPLA residential group homes to advance the independence, productivity and health of adults with developmental disabilities and those with similar service needs.  UCPLA has the highest level of residency and personal care services.  Our dedicated staff provides a level of professional services that guarantee a stellar array of programs and residential services in the least restricted environment.

  • UCPLA homes are designed for the comfortable accommodation of developmentally disabled residents who are either ambulatory or wheelchair users
  • Bathrooms, bedrooms, hallways and living spaces are roomy and allow for unrestricted movement
  • Spacious single and double occupancybedrooms that are beautifully maintained
  • Provide quality healthy food choices designed by dieticians
  • Provide support programs & services that address the clients well-being and individual needs
  • Free wireless internet access
  • Free satellite television in each home
  • Residency at UCPLA homes does not require a referral from a Regional Center
  • Group homes are funded by Medi-Cal
  • Residents receive in-home routine doctor visits at least every 60 days
  • UCPLA provides transportation to and from personal medical and other appointments
